I am a clinical counsellor who supports couples and individuals to work through relationship issues and challenges. I am passionate about supporting people in therapy to break free of unhealthy relationship patterns and dynamics, and to achieve positive relationship outcomes.
I have supported many people over the years to develop healthy relationships. I have completed specialised training in a range of approaches that I draw upon depending on the unique needs of each person I work with. Most recently, I completed training in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and am a member of the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). I also have a particular interest in working with sex and intimacy issues and am a member of the Society of Australian Sexologists (SAS).
In my sessions with couples, I provide a supportive and non-judgemental environment where you and your partner can discuss the challenges you are experiencing within your relationship, reflect and build upon strengths, and explore opportunities for positive growth and change. I also provide support to individuals wanting to achieve better relationships.
Coming to relationship counselling can be a daunting prospect for many people, however, it can help you to address issues in a respectful way that may be difficult to achieve outside of therapy. For many, the goal of relationship and couples therapy is to strengthen the relationship and develop a deeper connection. For others, it may be to decide whether or not the relationship should continue, or how to end it amicably. Whatever your goals, I will provide a supportive space where you feel heard and can work towards achieving a healthier relationship.
